Creative Ask:

ISUZU South Africa tasked LIVE Communications to produce a 2020 retail sales campaign to increase awareness of their vehicles and highlight their 2020 sales promotion – Buy any selected ISUZU vehicle and only pay in 2021.

The promotion was introduced to consumers at the height of the Covid-19 South African lockdown, so it needed to be tailored to include messaging about financial viability and long-term savings.

Creative Solve:

Our creative team did an in-depth analysis of the financial markets and produced a campaign centered around the main character that dominates any market – the Bull. Traditionally, a Bull has positive associations across financial markets. It was leveraged to create a fun and interesting 3D character who brought ISUZU’s incredible deals to South African consumers.

The campaign was named Predictable Deals and hinged on the fact that although consumers were facing a very uncertain future in the face of the Covid-19 Pandemic, ISUZU was offering predictable.

Since the campaign’s inception the Bull has become the main character for sales multiple, seasonal campaigns run to date.

 

“The highest ISUZU D-MAX June sales month in over 14 years. The ISUZU D-MAX was the second best selling bakkie in the South African market for two months in a row”.
